Soltour reinforced its commitment to the Portuguese market with three new direct destinations. Two of them are from Porto.
The crystalline waters of the islands of Sal and Boavista were the perfect pretext for the creation of new program proposals by the Spanish agency, which takes advantage of BTL to reinforce its presence in the Portuguese market.
Portuguese tourists already represent 30 to 40% of Soltour’s customers, betting on special offers for this summer.
Cape Verde and Albania are two of the chosen destinations, with charter flights from Lisbon and Porto starting at the end of June.
“The Portuguese look for picturesque beaches and demand many hotels and beaches”, explains the CEO, Tomio Benassar.
Destinations were selected by average distance and difference. Cape Verde offers its own exoticism, relaxation, music and gastronomy. On the other hand, Albania combines culture and the beach, because the Portuguese “love the beach”.
That’s why the third new destination this summer is Samana, in the Dominican Republic, with weekly direct flights from Lisbon and four types of accommodation, a very exclusive one on Portillo Island, a TV spot, one for families and another on the slopes with a view and exclusive to the growing adult segment. Operations begin at the end of June and run through the second half of September
