The 2030 World Cup could be hosted in Morocco
The text was read by Moroccan Minister of Education and Sports Chakib Benmoussa when handing over the aforementioned 2022 award in Kigali (Rwanda) to Rwandan King and President Paul Kagame, an award that Mohammed VI considers “a tribute to Africa’s talent and its dazzling youth.”
The King affirms that he wants to make football in his country “a lever for success and sustainable human development,” because “in addition to being a passion and an expression of creative talent, football is a vision for the future, a long-term commitment to the term, effective and transparent governance, and investment in Infrastructure and human capital”.
Mohammed VI recalls in his message that Moroccan football honored Africa at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where the Moroccan national team came in fourth place, honoring the values of “perseverance” and “self-improvement.”
And he affirms that “beyond words, the Kingdom of Morocco – which hosted the recent FIFA Club World Cup – has proven once again with its actions that its resources, infrastructure and expertise, especially in football, are available to all African countries that wish, too, to make youth a lever of hope and growth.”
